Answers to some of the most common questions families may have as Leap Into Learning Academy prepares to open.
What ages will Leap Into Learning Academy serve?
The preschool program is intended for children ages 3–5 who are not yet attending school. Before and after school care is also planned for elementary-aged children.
What are the planned hours?
Target operating hours are Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM. Preschool is planned for 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, with before care from 7:30–9:00 AM and after care from 3:00–5:00 PM.
How many days per week can my child attend preschool?
Planned preschool options include 2-day, 3-day, and 5-day-per-week programs.
How large will the preschool group be?
The preschool group is planned for a maximum of 12 children.
What kind of learning approach will you use?
The program will be play-based, with hands-on learning, stories, art, movement, imaginative play, early academics, and social-emotional development.
Will you offer before and after school care for Southern Columbia students?
Yes, school-age before- and after-school care is planned. A Southern Columbia Area School District bus stop is located directly across the street from the preschool.
When are you opening?
The anticipated opening is Fall 2026. Opening and enrollment remain subject to completion of applicable licensing requirements.
Can we tour the preschool?
Yes! We welcome all families to come tour Leap Into Learning Academy, meet our director, and see our preschool in person. Please contact us to schedule a tour at a time that works for your family.
